Tree Removal

A big 5-Stars to Viking Tree Service. I had a lot of trees that needed attention. One overrun with termites, two growing into and breaking up the roof, one obstructing any possible solar installation, and several other "junk trees" on the premises threatening to break up concrete with their overgrown roots. Jacob from Viking came out to look at the situation. He was a friendly, agreeable man. And very knowledgeable. (The man knows his trees!) We negotiated what I thought was a very reasonable price (lower than other bids I'd gotten). But though the price was discounted, the level of service and attention to detail was not. He and his crew arrived exactly on time, they completed every item on the contract, and threw in a couple of extras that happened to come up. They worked efficiently, coordinating their teamwork, but very conscientiously too! At one point, Jacob called me over to show me a small copper gas line that one of his crew had discovered, running very close to the root of the large tree they had just leveled to the ground. If they'd gone ahead and grinded it out using the stump grinder without checking that first, they would have broken the gas line. So that was a pretty good catch! Anyway, when they finished the job, they cleaned up all the debris and hauled it away. And at my request, they left me with a little firewood! The yard never looked so good. If you need any tree work done, I'd recommend them very highly.

Someone referred me to Viking, as I have a bunch of palm trees on my property, alongside other trees and I needed everything taken care of. I first of all got in touch with another company that a lot of people raved about - however they were useless and their quote was astronomical! So someone else suggested Viking Tree Service. Jacob, the owner, came out when I asked him to come (in fact he was early!), walked the property with me, when I asked about a couple of other trees, he told me NOT to do them right now as I would kill them, to wait till December, and then gave me an incredibly fair quote for the job. They came back three days later and did a beautiful job. Took them about 6 hours, but they cleaned everything away, and did exactly what I asked and a little more. My palms look great, but he cleared the trees away from my roof as I am tired of the animals playing tag on my roof whilst I try to sleep! Jacob is a really nice guy, and his guys did a really great job, and I was happy to pay that price. I will definitely have them come back in December to take care of everything else for me. Oh, and he asked the neighbours for their permission to go on to their roofs and garden areas, and they cleaned up all the debris from their properties too.

We have used Viking for a few years now to trim our trees, and they also replaced a wooden fence for us several years ago. They show up on time and do a thorough and professional job. Their pricing is favorably competitive with other vendors we have reached out to. Also, he is insured and bonded, which is important with this industry. The wooden fence they constructed has held up well over the years.
